Mortuza Islam, Jaldhaka Correspondent: Municipal Football XI has advanced to the final of the Bangabandhu Under-18 Boys National Gold Cup Football Tournament in Jaldhaka Upazila of Nilphamari. They defeated Khutamara Union Football XI 3-0 in the 1st semi-final match of Upazila Sheikh Russell Mini Stadium on Sunday afternoon. In the 2nd semifinal match, Mirganj Union defeated Dauwabari Union by 4-3 goals in tiebreaker and advanced to the final. Also present were Upazila Parishad Chairman Abdul Wahed Bahadur, Upazila Nirbahi Officer Mahbub Hasan, Municipal Mayor Ilias Hossain Bablu, General Secretary of Upazila A'League Shahid Hossain Rubel, Principal Abed Ali, former Customs Inspector and sports fan Abdus Salam, UP Chairman Saiful Islam Mukul. Golam Mostafa Manik, Rakibul Islam, Upazila Scouts Secretary Mortuza Islam, Commissioner Montu etc. A total of 12 teams including the municipality are participating in the tournament organized by the Upazila Administration and Upazila Sports Organization.
